University Canada West (UCW), a top institution in Vancouver, British Columbia will have its Summer Term July 2021 online. This is in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. British Columbia has reported 6,877 active COVID-19 cases with 572 new cases added just today. This brings the total number of cases in the province to 132,925.
Despite the decreasing number of COVID-19 infections and ongoing vaccinations, UCW decided to hold off on on-campus learning until the fall semester in October.
“Throughout this pandemic, the safety of students, faculty, and staff has been our number one priority,” announced Brock Dykeman, the school’s President and Vice Chancellor. The school believes that having classes online will keep the students and entire faculty safe from the coronavirus infection.
At present, social gatherings and some activities are still restricted in the entire British Columbia.
