Canada – International students can still apply at the University of Windsor for Fall 2021, even if the submission is beyond the May 15, 2021, initial deadline.
Initially, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced a May 15 deadline for submitting all student visa applications to make it in time for Fall 2021 intake. The recent announcement stated that IRCC will still process study permits submitted beyond the deadline, but the decision may be delayed.
Due to this, University of Windsor will allow their overseas students to start their preferred program online even if there is no decision on the study permit application yet. This move helps international students pursue their study abroad dreams even if they are still at home.
At present, international students are eligible for a Post Graduate Work Permit even if they have completed 100% of their studies online until December 31, 2021, outside Canada. After the study permit is approved, international students can come to Canada and continue their studies. Those who already have a Letter of Acceptance from the University of Windsor for Fall 2021 can still apply for a study permit. IRCC will process it as soon as possible, even if the final decision comes in later.
