Since the summer of 2016, this learning series has provided participants useful and practical exposure to various topics related to research.
The Fall 2021 session will be following a general format as the institution will hold the event one day per week, Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. (PT) via Zoom.
TWU features nine scheduled talks and a panel of distinguished speakers, including two members of the Royal Society of Canada, for the Fall 2021 Lunch & Learn sessions.
Interested participants of the activity can learn a lot from a wide range of fields such as nursing, artificial intelligence, bioenergy, art, education, mathematics, poetry, environmental engineering, and more.
Some of the topics included are the Day of Learning on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, The Poetry and Music of Science, Simulating Crowd Control using Agent-based Modeling and Simulation, and Health Research on Prayer in Hospitals – Insights on Methods and Interpretations.
Aside from the learning series, TWU has previously announced a campus-wide Community Day of Learning on Sept. 30 to foster greater awareness of indigenous history and culture and honor residential schools’ legacy.
