In support of the growth and recovery of the post-pandemic economy, Robert Gordon University’s (RGU) Aberdeen Business School will be delivering a new government-funded Help to Grow: Management program.

RGU’s Help to Grow: Management program, an executive development program accredited by the Small Business Charter, will be targeting the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector to deliver leadership and management training.

Key Takeaways:

  • RGU will be delivering the government-funded Help to Grow: Management program.
  • The program is a 12-week practical management program for local businesses and industry leaders across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, and the wider region.
  • RGU recently received the Small Business Charter accreditation, allowing the university to deliver the program.

The 12-week practical management program aims to support senior managers with expert-led webinars, peer-to-peer working, and in-depth mentoring.

Toward the end of the program, local businesses and industry leaders across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, and the wider region are expected to develop a business growth plan to help them realize and reach their potential.

According to Professor Elizabeth Gammie, RGU’s Head of Aberdeen Business School, the university’s key focus is on economic sustainability and growth within the region. That’s why they tirelessly work to support and contribute to the recovery of the area.

Small Business Charter accreditation has been recently awarded to RGU’s Aberdeen Business School, recognizing the university as a business school that effectively supports small businesses, local economies, and student entrepreneurship.

With such accreditation, RGU is now eligible to deliver the government-funded Help to Grow scheme, designed to help the sector grow and recover, especially during this time.

RGU is the only business school north of the central belt to deliver the said program.

In delivering the Help to Grow scheme, the university is looking forward to extending support to businesses in the North and North East of Scotland towards a post-pandemic recovery.

RGU announced the opening of 20 spaces available for the program for the first cohort, which begins in October.
