Walsh University Offers Merit-Based Scholarship for Freshies

Incoming full-time freshmen students of Walsh University admitted for Fall 2021 can be the beneficiaries of the university’s scholarship programs and merit awards based on their academic credentials in high school.

In 2018 alone, the university awarded nearly $30 million in grants and scholarships for students.

Walsh will be rewarding incoming first-year students based on varying standards: $12,000 to $18,000 for the Merit Scholarship, which will be determined based on GPA and test scores; a $2,000 International Grant for all international students who reside on campus; and a $2,000 Campus Service Award, which will be given to all international students with on-campus employment. In total, the cost to attend Walsh University will be around $24,000 to $27,000 per year.

Among the academic freshman merit scholarships are:

• Deshayes Scholarship – $18,000
• Vanasse Scholarship – $16,000
• Brothers of Christian Instruction Scholarship – $15,000
• La Mennais Scholarship – $14,000
• Farrell Award – $12,000

Walsh also offers the Catholic High School Grant of $1,000 to incoming full-time freshmen

who have graduated from a Catholic high school and have met the university’s admission criteria.

Every year, the university also invites a limited number of academically qualified first-year students for the Walsh University Honors Competition to win the full-tuition Presidential Scholarship or a Dr. Baxter $22,000 Honors Scholarship.
