The Victorian Global Education Network is now working toward expanding its international education network in Kenya by forging connections between the state’s education hubs and its prospective students.
Acknowledging the significance of education providers, the Victorian government has willingly collaborated with providers and the federal government to outline the plans for international students from the African country to gradually return to their campuses when everything goes back to normal.
Kenya is perceived to be a good hub for international education because of its diverse cultural setting and a strong sense of community. This is why the Victorian government is opening many opportunities to encourage international students to make Victoria their top choice.
The Victorian government offers a pathway to Victoria scholarship program and international research partnerships to further urge students from Kenya to choose Victoria as their study destination.
To accomplish such an undertaking, Mahul Shah, recently appointed Education Services Consultant for Kenya, is heading back to the country to build up connections between educational institutions and prospective students.
Since the enrollment process takes between six to 12 months, Shah will be traveling to Kenya to prepare for the process already so that when borders are finally open, international students can immediately proceed to their study destination.
The ongoing pandemic has greatly affected international education in general and foreign students in particular. The unprecedented implementation of health protocols and lockdowns has changed the way education is accessed and delivered.
However, education providers assured that as soon as international borders ease travel bans and other restrictions, they are ready to accommodate the students and give them the best education there is.
