With the aid of IBM Skills Academy, Adelphi University‘s Innovation Center will offer its AI, Design Thinking Certificate again in January 2022, following a successful pilot program in Summer 2021.
Adelphi is teaching students and faculty critical artificial intelligence (AI) and design thinking skills to understand the AI industry adoption that furthers the digital transformation of enterprises.

The synchronous, noncredit certificate program is composed of a four-week workshop, a combination of lectures, hands-on labs, and group work led by Adelphi faculty accredited in IBM Skills Academy.
Previously, the program was completed by 18 students in Summer 2021, with backgrounds ranging from business and industrial engineering to computer science and data analytics.
According to Graziela Fusaro, assistant provost for innovation at Adelphi, students will build digital skills and apply design thinking principles to produce an AI solution for a problem in their field of study through this flexible, online program.
Participants will get an Adelphi Certificate of Completion and IBM Artificial Intelligence and Enterprise Design Thinking certificates, all of which are certified by IBM and come with an IBM digital badge.
