Hispanic Outlook magazine has recognized the University of Central Florida (UCF) as one of the top schools that award bachelor’s and master’s degree programs to Hispanic students across several disciplines and for overall enrollment.
This is the second year in a row that UCF has achieved such a milestone, with its strong commitment to delivering inclusive and quality programs and instruction to students regardless of their ethnicity.

UCF landed on the fifth spot in the country for conferring bachelor’s degrees to Hispanics. The institution also secured the 17th and 13th spots for conferring master’s degrees to Hispanics and Hispanic enrollment among four-year schools, respectively.
These rankings were based on Hispanic Outlook magazine’s latest list of top-performing educational institutions.
The ranking considers degrees awarded in the 2019-2020 academic year. In that period, UCF awarded 3,907 bachelor’s degrees and 531 master’s degrees to Hispanic students. In the same academic year, 26.7 percent of the student body was composed of Hispanic/Latinx students.
While the institution is already a highly diverse community, UCF will seek to ensure that all students succeed in a welcoming and inclusive educational environment. As of Fall 2021, 19,665 Hispanic students are enrolled at UCF, making up 27.8 percent of the overall student population.
According to Andrea Guzmán, UCF’s vice president for diversity, equity, and inclusion, the university aims to surpass national graduation benchmarks for Hispanic/Latinx students.
UCF will be particular in disciplines where these students have the potential to thrive but may lack support, access, and resources, such as science, technology, and medicine.
Moreover, the university has also been ranked by Hispanic Outlook magazine within the top 10 schools nationally across five degrees: 4 for engineering; 4 for visual and performing arts; 7 for English language and literature/letters; 9 for computer and information sciences and support services; and 10 for education.
