Planned to start in September, the new consortium was created to help international students in their overall preparations to study in Russia at undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels at different universities.
According to the Network Preparatory Faculty organizers, member institutions will prepare potential international students to get a better and more accessible education in the country. Aside from these, the network is also in the works to improve the methodological base to attract more international students to choose Russia as their study destination.
To date, the members are already finalizing their 10-month network pre-university course that is deemed to equip international students to start their study at Russian educational institutions.
The course is composed of distance learning sessions with teachers, allowing international students to study the online lessons and major subjects in Russian at their own pace.
According to Victor Krasnoshchekov, Director of the Higher School of International Education Programs at SPbPU, the online preparatory department for foreign national students is a unique educational platform that will provide them with a methodological approach to teaching Russian languages and subjects in Russian.
International students will be able to enter any Russian university should they fully complete the Network Preparatory Faculty.
