TRU: Accepting Culinary Arts Program Applicants for Fall 2021 Semester

Canada—For all international students interested in joining the most hands-on Culinary Arts Program in British Columbia, Thompson Rivers University (TRU) is already accepting applicants for the Fall 2021 Semester.

TRU has restored their capacity for the program in accordance with the province’s COVID-19 resumption plan. The school prefers international students already residing in Canada with a valid study permit for the upcoming Fall 2021 semester.

About the Culinary Arts Program:

• Length of program: 2 years (including Professional Cook 1-3 and practicum)
• Total tuition: Approximately $24,000
• Delivery model: Face-to-face
• Eligible for a 3-year PGWP after 2-year program completion 
• Certifications from the Industry Training Authority (leading to red seal)
• Hands-on training
• Minimum 120-hour work experience

To be eligible, here are the following requirements:

• Must reside in Canada with a valid study permit (due to insufficient study permit processing time)
• Grade 10 or equivalent 
• Food Safe Level 1 (can be completed upon arrival)
• A successful score on the Accuplacer test (can be done by TRU)
• Recommended IELTS score of 6.5 or Duolingo score of 110+
