The Wrexham Glyndwr University community celebrates another significant milestone as the institution ranked second in the United Kingdom in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2022 for its teaching quality.

One of the highly regarded rankings in the education sector, the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2022 has witnessed a 14-mark increase in Glyndwr’s ranking. The university is second in the UK and first in Wales in terms of the quality of teaching.

Key Takeaways:

  • Wrexham Glyndwr University ranked second in the UK for its teaching quality.
  • The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2022 is based on the analysis of student satisfaction.
  • Glyndwr had a 14-mark increase in the said rankings.

The rankings are based on student satisfaction analysis in various areas such as teaching quality, student experience, research quality, graduate prospects, and entry standards. Since 2018, the guide has also included social inclusion rankings for universities in England and Wales.

Overall, Glyndwr scored 82 percent in the student survey – the good news came little more than a week after it rose more than 40 places in the rankings compiled by The Guardian.

Previously, Glyndwr improved its rankings by 41 places, from 107th place last year to 66th this year, in The Guardian University Guide 2022

The recently released Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2022 has strengthened the reputation of Glyndwr in terms of the quality of teaching that it delivers to students.

Aside from these achievements, Glyndwr was ranked highest in the UK for Adult Nursing for overall student satisfaction in this year’s National Student Survey and was also successful in gaining a Health Education and Improvement Wales tender to launch an exciting raft of new Nursing and Allied Health Practitioner courses.

According to Vice-Chancellor Professor Maria Hinfelaar, this is good news for their incoming students and those already progressing their studies with Glyndwr, and a welcome recognition of the hard work done by staff and the investments they are making.
