Adelphi anticipates returning to pre-pandemic teaching and learning modalities in Spring 2022, assuming the public health situation permits.

Programs that were previously only available in person will be available again. Some classes will continue to be offered in online and hybrid formats, which have shown to be successful and popular.

Students should plan and be prepared to take courses in the various modalities that are available.

Adelphi will continue to follow all New York State (NYS) and Nassau County guidelines for avoiding and minimizing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic as it evolves.

The university is following the CDC’s recommendations and implementing best practices and recommendations prepared by the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities (CICU) in New York in partnership with a public health expert.

Wearing masks indoors, daily health check screening prior to arriving on campus, and social separation where possible are some of the ongoing measures.

Adelphi has managed to keep its COVID-19 positive rate below that of the neighboring town and area, at 0.1 percent on average.

With the support and supervision of the University Health and Wellness staff, especially its great student health and wellness ambassadors, the university was able to safely and successfully return numerous on-campus meetings and events to in-person participation.
