Sheridan College in Johnson County will host another Drop-in Tuesday this Aug. 17 at Bomber Mountain Civic Center, providing an opportunity for prospective students to drop by even with no appointment to register for classes and work with staff during extended hours.

With Fall classes commencing on Aug. 30, this initiative is deemed beneficial for potential students, especially during its first run last Aug. 10. The Drop-in Tuesday is being held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. to cater to the students.

Drop-in Tuesdays is in line with the college’s commencement of classes this Fall. Students and staff will not be required to wear masks in Johnson County School buildings, according to the Johnson County COVID Task Force press release earlier this month.

Representatives from Sheridan College in Johnson County join the representatives of Johnson County School District, Johnson County Healthcare Center, Johnson County Public Health, Johnson County Emergency Management, and Johnson County to complete the said task force.

According to the press release, as the district prepares to kickstart the year, the college continues to prioritize the health and safety of students, staff, and the whole community.
