With about 50 percent of the more than 1,900 class sections available in the Spring 2022 semester, College of the Canyons announced on Nov. 2 that the registration for both Winter and Spring semesters is underway.
The classes will be available in person at the Valencia and Canyon Country campuses. Meanwhile, to provide students with the flexibility to select the formats that best fit their schedules, the spring schedule of classes will feature a mix of online and OnlineLIVE classes.

COC students can choose from various general education “core” classes needed to graduate, transfer to a four-year school, and meet course prerequisites associated with their immediate educational plans.
Such a study plan also goes along with career education classes that can provide students with the skills needed to start working in high-demand, high-wage jobs moving forward.
The college also announced the availability of new career-focused programs in spring, such as tooling and milling and clinical lab science.
COC also added that classes are still available for students looking to jump-start during the winter session, which features more than 390 class sections. The winter session will run from Jan. 5 to Feb. 5 and will be exceptionally robust with high-demand classes in English, math, chemistry, and psychology.
The winter schedule includes more than 50 PPL classes, including English as a Second Language (ESL), human resources, General Educational Development (GED) test preparation, career skills, computer skills, and Spanish for health care workers.
COC’s School of Personal and Professional Learning (PPL), providing career skills and lifelong learning classes to residents of all ages and skill levels, at no cost, will also offer 190 classes in the spring.
Among the classes offered are baking fundamentals, real estate, and project management for non-project managers.
Registration for spring 2022 began on Nov. 1, while the spring semester will run from Feb. 7 to June 2.
