Malaysia—Fourteen international students from Japan successfully traveled to Malaysia on July 11 under the collaborative actions of Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) and Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB).
“Study in Malaysia,” one of the initiatives of EMGS to support international students to study in Malaysia amid the pandemic, has assisted the international undergraduate students from Japan to fly to the country.
Before the students’ departure to Malaysia, they were compelled to follow the pre-departure health screening and the advisory from the Japanese authorities.
Meanwhile, upon arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), international students underwent the mandatory process and followed the quarantine procedure at the designated station.
His Excellency Dato’ Kennedy Jawan, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan, presented the students their Single-Entry Visa (SEV) at the Malaysian Embassy in Tokyo in June 2021. The SEV allows them to study in their chosen institutions, namely Monash University, Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation, Taylor’s University, Sunway College, and HELP University.
